Again, the only ape to ever live in the Americas is Homo sapiens sapiens–us. And we’re the only species of primate to have ever lived north of the Valley of Mexico in the Americas. The fossil record clearly shows this. We have evidence of ancient bears, wolves, and mastodons, but no ape fossils in the whole of North America. The reason why we don’t have good records of ancient apes in tropical parts of Africa is simple: rotting happens faster in a humid tropical climate. North America during the last Ice Age preserved all sorts of fossils, and any species of large primate would have been preserved in at least a few fossils, perhaps even leaving a few frozen individuals behind. Also, the alleged ape that is the supposed ancestor of bigfoot was probably not bipedal, and it was a vegetarian. How it could have crossed the ice sheets is beyond me, and beyond the scope of the bigfoot researchers.
For some reason people want to believe in Bigfoot, just as they want to believe in aliens or the Loch Ness monster.
Common sense and facts will never persuade them that these creatures simply don’t exist.
