Yup, that’s the “cute” raccoons I am familiar with. Raccoons by the way not only are vectors for rabies, they also are subject to canine distemper and parvo. Encouraging them by feeding them is not in your dogs, cats or your best interests. And, if you have ever seen what an angry coon like that mother can do to a dog, you would think twice about that bowl of cat food to lure it onto your deck.

  I’ve never thought raccoons were cute. I did think they might be cool pets because they are smart animals.
  
  However, if you’ve ever seen one backed in a corner by a dog, they are more like a species of grizzly bear.
