You run an ATV at full speed and full throttle up a creek, and the “bigfoot” just wanders off?
And the cameraman is perfectly poised to film it. Indeed, it’s almost as if the ATV rider is “pointing” the bigfoot, just like a pointer or setter.
One word: Hoax!
BTW, this was in Southwest Virginia. That’s not the same place as Southern West Virginia, although the two regions are adjacent to each other and have a common history.

Proving that this thing was a hoax is a bit difficult.
I can’t say that it was.

The simplest explanation is that this is a hoax. The whole thing looks horribly staged.
It’s very easy to nay-say everything out there that concerns Bigfoot. You say this footage is horribly staged. I say, show me one thing that say’s it’s fake.
I’m watching it and the guy in the creek is totally paying attention to what he’s doing. The subject in question is too far ahead of the ATV rider to be connected. I hope you’ve watched the “Enhanced” version. In the original version you couldn’t see much more that a subject crossing the creek. In the “enhanced” version you see it step down into the creek and pick up an infant on the other side of the creek.
I showed this to a nay-sayer friend of mine and all he could come up with was: Why did they have a camera?
So now your damned for bringing a camera? I’m sure if these same folks didn’t have a camera and came back to town and said they saw a Bigfoot everybody would say “Bullshit”. For you nay-sayers there’s no winning. If you have a video, they say it’s fake. If you say you saw a yeti, they say your lying.
Here’s a fact for you: If only 1% of the Bigfoot sightings are true then over 1500 sightings are real. Over 150,000 people can’t be wrong.
When asking people if they’ve ever seen Bigfoot you might also ask them if they’ve seen a baby pigeon.

With stealth and trail cams everywhere it will not be long before absolute indisputable proof comes to the surface. Although I’m already convinced.
I only hope it’s me and my camera. Given the opportunity I’ll get great footage of the elusive beast.

Retrieverman – i agree this is likely a staged video, as I have hunted in this area as well as others for over 40 years, and never seen any sign of such a creature. The only problem I have is with your first post above, “BTW this was in SW Virginia…” Would this video have been any more believable if it had been filmed in upstate New York? To deny that there could be a “bigfoot” is to deny that there was a Gigantopithecus. This could very well be a large primate that evolved from this so called extinct species. 2. You didn’t read my post. My post takes a scientific look at the claims of bigfoot. And the gigantopithecus hypothesis is the least likely of them all. Gigantopithecus was a specialized ape that lived on bamboo. Are there giant pandas in Washington State? There aren’t any, so there won’t be giganto, which was almost certainly not a biped. We have only minimal fossils from that animal, and you cannot use them to make the claim that it was bipedal. If you do, you fundamentally don’t understand paleontology.
3,. I don’t discount that there may be unknown animals. We’re discovering new ones every day. I am open to possibility that orang pendek exists, though it may be an unusual gibbon species.
I am well-versed in cryptozoology stuff. A lot of it is nothing more than bull crap, but some of it is worth exploring. Thylacines may still exist. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if they found one.
