She’s very interesting. I don’t always agree with her. Most dogs don’t form pair-bonds, but I’ve know of three separate pairs of dogs that formed male and female bonds. Two were composed of West Virginia farm dogs, and the other was composed of two Jack Russells.
But she’s interesting.
I read The Hidden Lives of Dogs religiously as adolescent. I don’t think it’s a great idea to let a dog wander the Greater Boston area, but the New Hampshire forest– well, that’s something different.
Her criticism of the social sciences in this piece is excellent, and I say this as an insider!
