No. It’s a nonsense song- I wouldn’t want that many dogs, and… I wouldn’t want 9 maids a milking, or whatever, either. It’s just a “dog” version of the song. Like the “redneck” version done by Jeff Foxworthy. Which, by the way, is hilarious.
That was a joke.
And by boxing day, there would be a ton of dogs, and my guess is NO cat! :) What cat would stoop to such a level…? LOL
I don’t know what would happen in the US, because we don’t have boxing day.
Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. Traditionally Canadians give each other a Boxer on this day. :P

In America, the tradition is to either go to the mall on that day and exchange the gifts we didn’t want for something we do or go online and do the same.
