I’m only posting this, because this came out the other day.
I’m hardly a believer.
The Caucasus has been a place where many, many different ethnic and linguistic groups have come together– and then hated each other. Some of these Caucasus ethnic groups lived somewhat “primitive” lives.
I remember reading something by Farley Mowat in which he was in Georgia (the former Soviet one). He was talking to a fellow whose job during the Great Patriotic War was to conscript mountain people into the Red Army. He went all the way to the foot of Mt. Elbrus in search of some of a band of these people. They were nomadic herders. They had no interest in going to fight, bu they assured this Georgian officer that if they Nazis showed up there, they would regret it.
I don’t think there is another species of human on this planet. I just don’t.
Our closest relatives are the Chimp and the Bonobo.
BTW, this is a depiction of what they are looking for. I think she needs to visit Rio and see a cosmetic surgeon!

Aside from the subject matter, don’t you think that the Caucasus mountains in the film are beautiful?
