I know a I post a lot of different things on this blog, and I know it helps attract a larger readership than if I kept it all focused, mindless, and droning.
But I really don’t know exactly what you like.
So I’m going to ask you to leave suggestions and comments on this post, just so I can get an idea of what you like about this blog.
As I am involved in the golden retriever breed, I do appreciate stuffs about those dogs… But I do appreciate the dog’s world in general : place they had in lifes in the past, uses, in today’s world, how different cultures have interactions with dogs (like what you presented in Afganistan for instance). Are there traces of canis familiaris in Southern America, what were they, what did they do ?
So, for me, I really appreciate stuffs like that. I am sure you will get some great ideas from others. Sure there will be ideas about the animal world in general and there are very interesting stuffs !!!
I enjoy the way you mix things up – dogs one day, “guess the animal” the next, some natural history, some biology, some genetics. It’s always interesting and you’re a wealth of knowledge.

I think that thoughtful posts/discussion on working bird dogs and retrievers is pretty hard to come by on the web. More of that is my one vote, but it seems like I’m in the minority.
You have vegans and duck hunters checking your site every day, pretty cool, IMO.
I like the mixture you currently have: rare breeds, breed history, palaeontology, etc.
I’m enjoying the variety. I started reading because of the Golden Retriever history posts but I have enjoyed it all.

I enjoy most of what you write. I always like your style, even if I don’t always agree with your content.
I find the non-dog posts interesting, especially if they involve domesticated farmed animals. :) I particularly love all the wild canid posts.
