Laura Westfall has started a photoblog. Laura is my cousin, who currently lives in Columbus, Georgia. (When someone said she took a job in Columbus, I thought she was moving to Ohio.)
She and her fiance have taken in Charlie and Millie, who have both been featured on this blog.
I took Laura and Justin out on a guided photo shoot on our grandpa’s land last September. Here is one of the photos from that shoot. Yes, Laura, we were both into box turtle wrangling!
Our grandmother got both of into creative endeavors. She was an avid photographer, and she wrote pieces for the Parkersburg (WV) Sentinel (the evening newspaper for the Parkersburg area). I used to dictate stories for her to write when I was little. Some of these story books still exist, including my wonderful artwork (sarcasm).

I have a very soft spot in my heart for GSPs. My first dog was a GSP and I’ve had others since.
Believe it or not, my dad took my brother and me to a shelter on Thanksgiving morning when I was nine years old. Someone had left a litter of purebred GSPs. Nine of them. We chose the runt and I was the happiest little girl in the world. Heidi lived for 15 years and I was heartbroken when she passed. Best dog in the world, paws down!
Anyway, I’ll have to check out Laura’s blog. Her photography (and Millie) have definitely caught my eye!
