I have no idea what they’re seeing.
Last summer, there was an alligator or crocodile spotted in a pond in France.
They drained the pond.
No crocodile or alligator was found.
It killed the fish, though.

In our natural Alligator exhibits at the N. C. Zoo, we have people commenting and taking photographs all the time of–not of our alligators–but of floating logs! I had one visitor excitedly inform me that an alligator had gotten into our waterfowl exhibit–yup, it was a floating log…..
