Haven’t you written about this sometime before, have u?
It’s a French hound Gran Bleu de Gascogne, also called the king of hounds for its size and extraordinary colour. The size tells originally it was capable to hunt wolves.

Or, if not – then it’s an early American creation from the original French Gran Bleu, called Blue Tick. It is hard to tell which one, since the pic is 100 hundered years old. What a grand head, like a bloodhound’s – and bet the barking also as deep.

Wurtemberg Pointer –
altho i wonder, too, if this is not a dog who would perform well as a cold-tracker, vs a game-pointer, which i presume means birds?

i cannot imagine why one would ‘point’ a bunny, for instance.
