This is almost a plan that I’d expect from the former Soviet Union. Right up there with domesticating the moose! (Just remember they beat us into Outer Space. Just sayin’.)

My first car was an old family hand-me-down klunker(nicknamed “the tank” for it’s indestructability)–a 1970 Maroon Impala. It had a HUGE trunk. Then as now, I wasn’t much of one for cleaning my vehicle, and one day I noticed a big ANT COLONY living in my trunk! I thought that was incredibly neat–how in the world did they get all that dirt to make a nest? They had to have brought some of it inside the trunk themselves? And how in the world did they forage? I could picture lines of ants trooping out to look for food, and hearing my car start up(no mistaking that deafening roar!) dashing back to climb inside(“Oh my god! We left Herman behind!!”). I helped out howsomeever I could–putting various food items for them in the trunk regularly so they wouldn’t have to forage outside the vehicle so much. I kept my ant farm in the trunk for years, and it was still there when the battered old hulk finally went to a junkyard–it may STILL be there!
red green is my secret guilty pleasure. i love him.
