According to the keeper in this video, the devil is just playing:
I think one could easily take a Jack Russell.

The keeper also has a great creationist debunking video that uses the koala as the example:
Good stuff.

That is something u hear far too seldom…!
re the first video, i don’t believe him.
i am not saying he is misleading anyone deliberately, he may sincerely believe every word – but that forceful exhalation is an alarm or low-level threat across a great number of mammalian species, from tigers to whitetail-deer and dogs.
his devil is just not upset-enuf to growl; if he climbed down into the compound, i would lay $20 that he would hear growls and be bitten, and if the bites to his flesh were as hard as the bite to his boot, he’d need stitches.
my impression is that the devil is telling him in clear terms to back-off and get out, and when the beast lets-go and drops to the ground, he doesn’t casually wander off or even act playful and seek re-engagement: instead, the stance is up on toes, body lifted, tail slightly piloerected, and very-still – IMO a clear warning of readiness to act with aggro.
that’s “on guard”, not ‘let’s play!’…
