Orca ‘tribes’ are really interesting. They will almost never deviate from the diet their particular group specializes in.

If this particular whale is a from a fish-eating group, it will not see a dog as edible, or anything else that not fish-shaped. If it was a seal-eating orca, then I’d think the chance of an ‘accident’ happening would be higher.

    Dogs and seals are similar to them, I suppose.
    Fish-eating Orcas are the safest, I believe that is the type used in aquarium parks, and for that reason.

If this were why my neighbor’s dog barked all day, I could completely understand it! Sadly, we live quite a few miles inland.

I think the Orca was trying to get the dog to fall in the water. I’d be terrified if that were my dog hanging on the edge like that.
