Wow, so maybe that video of Sarah Palin ‘hunting’ and repeatedly shooting (and missing) an elk that doesn’t move was real after all?

  A lot of people shook their head at Sarah Palin; at least the ones with the mantra if you miss once, you shouldn’t be hunting at all because a deer might bleed out somewhere in an abandoned field, and it’s inhumane.

Can someone correct me here (see I am a non-hunter)? That deer did not run instinctively because (1) that was its first encounter with that particular situation and could not determine the risk and (2) it did not want to trigger “prey drive” in the predator.
