I suspect that if he has his way they won’t be allowed to.
I watched this guy interviewed on Lawrence O’Donnell last night.
It’s true he’s a billionaire, and Lawrence was giving him lots of soft balls.
But the guy didn’t understand Santorum’s position on contraception even now, and then he made some statement that went along the lines that if Santorum were president he’d vote against any state that tried to ban contraception.
Which is utterly unintelligible.
That’s not how a federal system works.
Santorum was commenting on the Griswold v. Connecticut decision, which struck down all state laws banning contraception. It was this one that found a right to marital privacy in the “penumbras” of the constitution, and the same technique was used in Roe v. Wade,
“That’s not how a federal system works.” That seems to be a repetitive theme among the GOP hopefuls and their BF’s of late. Look at some of the garbage Gingrich has proposed. It sounds like a 5th grade game of “If I were KIng.”
