   Concerning the welcome determination of the Kennel Club to discourage the showing of breeds geneticaly affected by painful deformity, the Canine Alliance reeaction to this reminds one of how some in the hobby reacted to the banning of tail docking a few years ago – and lost the argument. But this will predictably be a harder war to win though maybe easier as it goes along with the remaining breeders more embarrassed even than those unhappy looking groups of smokers clustering together in city doorways.

     It appears some within the CA are claiming the dq bulldogs win at the contest of champions yesterday as some kind of justice.
     From what I gather, there was no vet inspection, so it means jack shit in that respect.

     Claiming the win as proof of the inaffectiveness of the vet checks, when there wasn’t one, makes about as much sence as claiming a dog doesn’t have ectropian, because it passed a check that didn’t even look for that.
