This dog is a Westfalenterrier (Westphalian terrier). It was bred near the town of Dorsten in extreme western Westphalia, which is part of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
It was developed in the 1970’s by a man named Manfred Rüter, who started out crossing smooth fox terriers with Lakelands.
Later the multipurpose German jagdterrier was added to the mix.

HAHA I finally got one right
My 10 year old daughter respectfully requests that this dog be crated and shipped to her here in Texas. She has the $600 for his air fare.
I showed her the webpage, but she likes this coat, not the wirey coats on the dogs on the web site.
I’m sure you can get a Jagdterrier in Texas.
Westfalen terrier might be a bit more difficult.
She saw a jadgterrier that she liked a few weeks ago. Guy was leaving an outdoors store and had two of them in his truck. Gremlin asked the man if she could pet them and spent 10 minutes asking him questions. She loved the smooth coat one but didn’t care for the broken coat one.
I have a friend from my HS days that lives in Germany. He’s offered to pick up and ship me dogs several times. He sends me dog collar hardware, I send him what ever new fangled American thing his wife or kids ask for. lol
Its a very good-looking little dog, probably an excellent companion as well as hunter. Bet it’d be hell on cats though.
Like many of the crossbred terriers we find walking over the chilterns every day of the week and a popular choice in Britain, even though they tend to get mischevious.
