Gosh, the only thing nuttier than Kent Hovind are his devout followers!
I imagine he continues to natter on prison– I’m sorry, I mean Uncle Obama’s Gulag for Christians!
And I can’t imagine any worse punishment than being forced to be Kent’s cellmate.
That might even be against the constitutional provision against cruel and unusual punishment.
Good grief! This was something straight out of Dante’s Inferno–but not as well written. Starting with “…and Jesus sade” and going downhill from there, it was a travesty. If this doesn’t smack of religious cultism nothing does.
I was particularly offended by him saying that proponents of evolution won’t allow their science to be questioned. That is patently ridiculous–the essence of the scientific method is to actively seek to disprove theses and propositions. So-called “Creation Science” fails this procedure at every turn.
I also object to the insinuation that proponents of evolution are, by extension, atheists. Some are, many aren’t. Belief in a creator is not contradicted by the acceptance of evolution.
And why do these so-called Christians continually quote from the Old Testament, a body of lore dedicated to a “vengeful God”, rather than the New? Jesus was supposed to be the harbinger of a newer, gentler belief system; i.e., “turn the other cheek” vice “eye for an eye.”
Hovind himself is just another dirtbag–one in a long line of same–wrapping his malfeasance and perfidy in a fabric of lies, half-truths, and emotional trigger phrases. Having been continually exposed to (and immunized against) organized religion at an early age (the tent revivals did it for me), I can recognize his type right off.

I know where you’re coming from, m. I often attend church with my grandmother and I have to just grit my teeth sometimes. I don’t speak out ; I basically go to spend time with my grandmother and it would hurt and embarrass her if I did. I don’t intend to ever join their church anyway, and so I don’t have a dog in that hunt. The anti-evolution theme is a common one; so is the “Islam is out to destroy Christianity” mantra. And the church she belongs to is considered relatively liberal compared to many other Baptist churches! I shudder to think of what they are preaching in some of them. My granddaughter used to attend a Christian school in Delbarton, WV, run by the Church of God, wherein they actually told young schoolchildren that if their parents were Democrats they would go to Hell! (Needless to say, she’s in a good public school now. But it took her a year to catch up in science and biology classes after her mom put her into public school).
And the sad thing is, most of the people in her church are really good people, who would literally give you the shirts off their backs, who don’t even realize that what they are preaching is hatred, intolerance, and ignorance.
Please tell me they`re not letting him out any time soon..!
Wow. I’m a creationist and I can’t take this guy seriously. He has a terrible lack of both Christian compassion and reasoning behind his claims. I would have been left seriously annoyed but the video maker’s little photo interjections were too absurdly funny.
