Interesting comment Jen. I was just reading the most recent issue of Dog Fancy at our local library. In it was an article about the human-dog bond in which an observation was made to the effect (not an exact quote mind you) that most people have a higher regard for their dogs than they do for the humans they know w/ the notable exception of their significant others. If the grief I felt (and still feel) at the recent passing of my dog Sammie is any measure, I’d have to agree.
