       I thought that’d get your attention. The author, not to put to fine a point on it, is obviously not accustomed to engaging in scientific thought. Nor, apparently, does he follow the Retrieverman Blog.

         Well, I’m not the final word on anything, but I at least expect people to follow cladistics when they start going down this road. A dog will never cease being a wolf anymore than you or I will cease being apes or chickens will cease being dinosaurs.

           This is the kind of journalism that really frosts me. He obviously didn’t do his homework–just skimmed over pop articles then reworded the outdated cant. If he’d bothered to do a bit of research into just the genetic issues he would have discovered a wealth of solid evidence belying his thesis.
