Truly amazing photo. But I have to ask whether its legitimate. I’d think that snipe would be comatose, in shock, from the strike.

  I was wondering how on earth the falcon was managing to fly and not drop it’s rather upset, struggling, flapping, almost the same size prey. But then again it’s a photo of a split second in time and out of context they can be really deceptive. I wonder how it ended?

  I find members of the sandpiper family almost impossible to tell apart. I’m not a coastal person, so I don’t get a lot of practice. Little gray birds that fly among the trees, though, I’m fairly good at.
