Look what popped up at the pond near my uncle’s condo at Myrtle Beach!

We have otters in West Virginia, too, but they aren’t nearly this tame!

Looks like a suburban area too. Reminds me what a wonderful recovery for the eurasian otter in the British Isles during the past half century – from being extinct on English rivers to being once more present on every river in the land; showing what can be done when the rivers are cleaned up and banks replanted as ours have in recent decades. The only place otters can be seen in daylight, though,is along the north west coast of Scotland and the western isles.
