   OK, I’ll play. I’m going to guess around the edges rather than the middle, and maybe near the upper right but not the white one: the one with just the gray face visible at the edge of the woods.

   Bottom 1/3rd line, 5th from right, dark brown/black, tail curbed up, with whitish rumps looking away with head tilted to the left, as if grabbing the neck of a sheep.

     Nah. It’s very much like a Caucasian ovtcharka, which is what I initially thought it was.

       If it is what I believe it is, it is too dark for a Caucasian Ovcharka (and also too lithe), Bulgarian Karakachan Shepherd, Bosnian Tornjak, etc. It can be a Karst Shepherd though. It is also too lithe for a Serbian Sarplaninac.

    If I was coyote I could smell there was a dog — as a human,I couldn’t see it until there were detailed instructions

    How do you know his name is spot? *badoom, tshhh*

    I can see the dog (after several scans and getting it out of my head that I was looking for a corded breed) The dog’s colour frilly knickers and general angle blend in excellently. It was the tail rather than the head that gave it away eventually for me.
