We call this “Using the green towel”.
I love to watch a dog having a good old roll in the grass (as long as there’s no carrion or mystery gobbets of slime involved). Rolling is the Tibetan Mastiff’s favourite pastime. He’s got a wide repertoire of techniques, such as the koi carp where he pushes himself through long grass like he’s swimming and the horse, which he does in summer on mowed areas when he’s lost his coat and is all legs. The bearcoat saves it for when I change the bed covers.
