   I wonder what the rest of the dog looks like. It has a very asymmetrical face but isn’t a bad looking dog. It reminds me of a Brittany but I am not seeing the whole dog. I hope it was an oops dog since that is just too weird a cross to do deliberately.. My question would be “why?”

   So that’s what a longcoated pit bull would look like. Seriously, block out the ears and the neck so all you’re looking at is the forehead, face, and muzzle. The broad skull, wide bridge, expanded muzzle, and those eyes are all pit bull type. If you look at the ears, lots of pits have varying sets and folds. If this dog had the smooth coat of a pit, no one would call it anything else but a pit or pit mix. I’ve always favored dogs with some coat and this dog looks really neat. I’d be interested in seeing more photos.

     Isn’t he or she a nice looking dog. I have a huge soft spot for longcoat versions of normally smooth dogs (oh, fluffy mastiffs!) and this one indeed has the look of a fluffy pitbull if they existed. I do think the dog might be more of a mix than a straight pitbull x retriever as I can’t recall ever seeing an F1 cross with a pitbull or staffie that has long hair. Something in the face reminds me of a border collie or aussie type breed.

   I second the ‘supposedly’. The intensity of eye makes the dog look Border. There are a pile of supposed GR x pit pictures on Google. They look very different one from another.
