That is true, m! I have seen it offered for sale as an ornamental on some European sites! OH will they ever be sorry once they get it!

Hi kittenz; Eurasia already has members in poison ivy’s genus Toxicodendron.) In Asia the sap is a major ingredient of the lacquers used on those pretty shiny Japanese and Korean lacquered boxes. In Europe it was used for 100 years as an ingredient in boot-blacking where it engendered an eponymous chronic skin condition (“boot black disease”) among boot blacks.
Also, if you’re particularly sensitive you may want to limit your ingestion of cashews and mangos–both related to poison ivy.
