Make sure you have the volume on your speakers turned up on high!
My guess is that if the dogs are North American, they will know this sound already.

We hear this at night sometimes even in the middle of suburbia. ;)
I just tried it outside and I got a response from one of the local brush wolves. LOL.
My ex in-laws have a home on a high point of land with a 360 degree view taking in a lot of the Champlain Valley, the western slopes of the Green Mountains, a length of Lake Champlain and the eastern slopes and cliffs of the Adirondacks. When sitting on their deck at night, you can at times hear at least a dozen different groups (packs?) spread out across the valley. At home I never get to hear them howl because as soon as they start in, my pack joins in and drowns out the higher-pitched coyotes.
The call of the wild!
Interesting. 3 Labradors: no reaction. They sure get exited smelling the places where a male coyote marked, though.
