An old opossum

This old opossum is a survivor. It looks like it even has a bit of frost bite on the ears from last winter.

Found a dead one in the pasture a couple of weeks ago. Its now just a grey furry patch.

Have you ever eaten possum? I was just wondering if they taste like chicken or rabbit?

I feel guilty … I visit the facebook page a gazillion times a day, but I haven’t been to the blog in awhile.

There’s an old possum that treks across my back yard at night, pretty often. It, too, has ragged ears. We used to have Concord grape vines out there & it raided them every year. I don’t know how long possums live, but this same one has been lurking around out there for at least 4 years.
