Some birds came out to dine in the chill.
Like this red-bellied woodpecker and chickadee, which is either a Carolina chickadee or hybrid chickadee with mostly Carolina ancestry. I live in the hybrid zone between Carolina and black-capped chickadees.
A northern cardinal and a tufted titmouse:

The Carolina wren is one of my favorites. Love their call and their habits. We usually have them around the house here in Virginia. They like to build nests in our woodpile.
How do you take care of the attendant mice problem?
