The Westphalian Dachsbracke is not a Dachshund. Well, let me rephrase that. If by Dachshund, you mean Teckel (which is almost always the case in the English language), the Westphalian Dachsbracke isn’t the same as that breed. However, if you mean it in the generic sense as Dachshund (Badger dog), then it is technically accurate. They can be used to hunt badgers.
There are two Dachsbracke breeds from the German speaking countries. The Westphalian is by far the least common. The other is from Austria and is called the Alpine Dachsbracke.
However, there is another breed of Dachsbracke, which does not go by the name anymore. It is very closely related to the Westphalian breed. In fact, it was first recognized as the Westphalian Dachsbracke.

The UK doesn’t allow badger digging, but I think it’s still legal in other EU countries.

as a guess, Drever (Swedish Dachsbracke)? The Drever comes from the Westphalian, but I’d consider the Drever more of a “Basset” type dog than a “Dachshund” (badger dog) type.

Actually, the Swedish Dachsbracke or Drever was originally registered as a Westphalian Dachsbracke, but the Swedes bred a heavier version of the dog, which is much more of a basset type.
Dachsbracke are between basset and teckel.
