no way–why is the fur so long? must have been a long coated german shepherd?
Hey, I was almost right. Good-looking dog, by the way. My only reservation was that I thought the coat looked rather long and silky for a Wolf Hound cross. Hence the afterthought that it might be a Briard cross instead.
interesting. I am a bit surprised at the color of this dog, since I didn’t think Irish Wolfhounds carried for atat (although they apparently did – http://www.irishwolfhounds.org/about.htm). I would have thought a GSD/IW would have been sable or even brindle or black as these are both colors dominant to black & tan.
is there a side shot for this dog? I’d be interested to see how the hocks/ body structure ended up.

I agree the dog appears to be more of a briard cross, especially with upright ears and length of coat. Was this just submitted as an IW/Shep cross or is there proof from the breeder of the dog?
It looks a lot like my wolfhound collie cross.
