I just noticed that there is a debate happening on this forum about the recent study that showed the red wolf and the so-called Eastern wolf species to be fantasy creatures. One is predominantly coyote and the other is a wolf with a certain amount of coyote ancestry. That study is real. It is the most in depth analysis of North American wolf-like canid DNA that has yet been performed. Its conclusions are not pleasing to many people, because it means that the red wolf likely isn’t an endangered species at all.
However, one person on this forum thinks that this study can be true, because I did this April Fool’s post on a dire wolf!
