I saw that today. I was trying to get a read on what the professional Republican campaign managers thought of all of this.
What the GOP needs is a good liar. Romney is incoherent. Ryan has a plan and can and will articulate it, till the old people understand it. (Oops!) What they wanted was someone to pretend that it’s about jobs. They need a senile old actor.
He’s yet another one who thinks he’s been tapped by God (or St. Ayn Rand) to set us all straight. Isn’t it about time we had an avowed atheist in the White House, just to see whether it’d make a difference?
